Fall in the White mountains

A fall trip to New England inspired this painting. The artist stated that the trees were at their peak colors during her visit to the area.  She was trying to capture the vivid colors of the trees as they covered the hills.  It was late afternoon and storm clouds were approaching. As she watched two men walking briskly down the road, she hoped they would make it to their destination before it rained.
